The Elusive Hairy Woodpecker

Shot these this evening. The lighting was not the best and was changing due to the shifting clouds.
Still my best effort so far in capturing him. I used a remote release and fix focus which involves compromises.
Used a single flash with Better Beamer mounted on the camera. I'll have to try multiple flashes when the weather improves.

Really nice shots. In my neighborhood, hairys are definitely not elusive.
