I have been using Nx2 for many years and I am happy with the results. I recently purchased a new computer with Win 10, downloaded Nx2 and started using it. Everything was OK until I went to save (as a NEF) a processed file. Got a message that this couldn't be done. Nikon confirmed that Nx2 was not compatible with Win 10 and wouldn't be updated. I can save the modified photo as a jpeg or tif, but I lost the ability to save the modified nef with the history of changes. Has anybody else had this problem and have they found a work around?
Did you update NX2 to version 2.4.6 from the NX2 site. It works with Win 10
I use Capture NX2 every day on Windows 10 with no issues at all. I too love this software.
Did you load from a disc or do a download. I wonder if you need to have version 2.4.7 for it to work correctly. My disc was an earlier version but the download is 2.4.7. Just guessing.
I have version 2.4.7 and when trying to save I get a "alert 7" when saving a nef.
I also use Capture NX2 on Windows 10 with no issues at all.
My ver. 2.4.7
I deleted my earlier download of Nx2 2.4.7 and re downloaded it. It works now.
Thanks to all!!!

What about your statement that Nikon confirmed that Nx2 was not compatible with Win 10?

There are several options:
You could use this handy little conversion program that converts your D750 NEF files into a NEF file that Capture NX2 can read.
http://www.bagnon.com/raw2nef/Another option is to use the Nikon provided free Capture NX-D. You would open the D750 NEF file in NX-D then convert the NEF file into a TIFF for editing in NX-2.
NX-D has a configurable button (Open with) that automatically converts the NEF file to TIFF then opens NX-2 together with the converted file. Editing from NX-2 then is as usual.
