No, I have no financial interest in B&H, UPS, or Sandisk. Just enthusiasm. On January 26th, I reported in the MPD section my success in using the 64 GB size FD as a means to store images that had already been uploaded to an iDevice, titled Backing up Image Data in the Field - Two More Solutions with the URL: http://www.uglyhedgehog.com/t-364372-1.html .

According to B&H, the retail price of the 128 GB version has been ~$126, but for the past few weeks, it has been ~$99. Now it has dropped by another $10, so I just ordered two of them. Here's the new URL:

Yes, other imitators are now coming out and I have not tested them as I plan to stick with Sandisk for the time being.

Yes. $89.95 now. For Apple users, I am just wondering how popular this device is. Usually when something doesn't sell well, a price reduction is imminent. 128gb. That's a lot of storage data on one drive.

I don't know much about business, but perhaps either the public isn't aware of this product ... or more likely, how many iPad and iPhone Users are there that would have a need to download data to this device if instead they are relying on just downloading it to laptop or desktop. I'm buying two of the 128's because I don't want to haul my laptop with me abroad, even though both of my Photography Backpacks have a compartment for a 15" MBP.
