It's amazing how life changes when you lose Internet, TV, and phone. Strong winds disabled our cable company last night, and they didn't get things working till 4:30 PM today. What a life-changing experience!
Look at the bright side,no commercials!
That's when you get caught up on your reading!

Everything I watch is recorded or on Netflix, so I never watch commercials.
I find my internet and cell phone keep me depressed enough without giving the cable company an extra $100 bucks a month.
Sounds like you had it all bundled. That's precisely why I don't.

Our telephone bill was rather large, and getting all three together saved money. My son and I have cell phones, so we could communicate with the outside world. Having to deal with three different companies would be even worse.
It was funny, though, as I kept thinking of things I wanted to do, and so many of them involved looking something up on the computer. My calendar wasn't available, and neither was Wunderlist (my ToDo list). They were available on the phone, but that tiny screen...
In Dec, we decided to quit Dish. We do subscribe to cbs all access and Netflix, 15$ a month instead of 90 $. Have a Roku so get a lot of other choices too. Haven't regretted it once.
I have yet ask my Samsung anything it doesn't give more than enough info on.

I know what you mean. We had HEAVY thunderstorms day before yesterday and my Dish (Sat. TV) was unable to receive a signal though the heavy downpours for 30 minutes. It was really frustrating.

Here in the UK cables such as electric, phone or TV are usually buried underground so they do not get affected by weather conditions.
However is does not mean that any services which are underground do not break down, but it does make the towns and villages look more attractive without all those overhead wires showing.

Bundled TV, internet and phone. Dropped AT&T cell service and got TracFone. Savings the first year - $1300. I made the change in November last year. The cable went out once for a total of 5 hours. I went to McDonalds, got a cup of coffee and a biscuit and checked my email on my tablet and browsed UHH. Also found that shows on my DVR still would play.

Amazing, and I bet they've done better in the UK than in the States in keeping up your infrastructure. Here in Kansas our Governor Brownback robs the highway funds to pay for tax breaks for the wealthy.

My honey-dos are built around the computer, mostly researching and looking things up. I can spend weeks researching - much easier than actually working. :D
