Longwood Gardens, one of the nations premier botanical gardens, near Kennett Square PA, just wrapped up their annual orchid expo on Easter Sunday. The wife and I made it there the day before. Here are a few photos from our visit.
That must have been a mind blowing photo shot. Love orchids but certainly don't have that type of success.

Longwood Gardens is a magical place. From the time the annual Christmas exhibit ends in early January thru late March, they transform the conservatory into an orchid paradise. If one doesn't stop to take in the wonder of the place, it would still take over an hour to tour the conservatory. There is a section called the fruit house where they grow fruit indoors year round and there's a room, next to the orchid house, called the tropical terrace where they grow bananas. They transform the conservatory several times a year to coincide with the seasons. It's one of those places where the majority of the visitors are carrying a camera.
Ohhhhh, soooo beautiful, rmorrison! It's been years since we've been there!
