Am asking if anyone has had any problems with the lens or lens adapter affecting meter readings within the camera when mounting their Leica APO-Telyt-R 1:5.6/1600mm Lens to their Nikon D810 ?

The adapters only allow stop-down metering, so I passed on this lens.

Are you saying that you are wanting information on problems adapting what is thought to be the world's most expensive and collectable camera lenses to your Nikon? Are you trying to be ironically humorous? If not, I am calling BS on that one. ;)

This aroused my curiosity on this lens. Goggled it and discovered this Leica lens was delivered in 2006 on Special Order from a rich photography aficionado and former Minister of Culture, Sheikh Al-Thani of Qatar in the Middle East for a cool 2 million dollars. The famous Leica red dot was affixed on the gold looking lens. Unbelievable cost.

If Leica can build it for the Sheikh, they can build it for you!

Oh I am sure you bought it from this Sheikh for a couple of bucks but the problem is even the Leica R doesn't have the flange to film/sensor distance as long as Nikon so either the lens won't focus at infinity or the adapter has to have a glass element worthy of your $2 lens.
As far as metering you may as well forget it. Without any kind of coupling the modern Nikon doesn't want to meter or not metering accurately. Although with older Nikon you can always use stop down metering.
But then you shouldn't need the meter.

The Leica R flange-to-focal plane distance is 47mm, Nikon F is 46.5mm. The Fotodiox adapters are .5mm thicker than Leica flanges and allow R lenses to focus at infinity on Nikons, no glass elements needed.
As for metering, I'm not sure which models will not, but most of the modern upper end Nikons will meter stopped down with no coupling to the diaphragm.
