Item 2 could be interesting.

It would be more interesting if they actually sold some for people to test!

The reference to an "articulated screen" should say "tilt screen". Better but not as good as the D5xxx's articulated screen.

I have been advised that the claimed high ISO does not ensure low noise at high ISO. Waiting on some actual test data.

I might have to invest in that camera.

Should check with an "adviser" first!

No danger of that just yet...

I saw on either B&H or Adorama that Nikon is going to ship on April 21, 2016.

Here's hoping!

I am interested in this one. I plan to wait till refurbs become available which might be this time next year or later (barring a severe GAS attack). I'll be carefully following the testing and see if it really offers what I'm looking for. Different people will have different interests in this one. The high frame rate and large buffer don't interest me. But I can see how they would interest a sports photographer. I'm mostly interested in low noise high ISO performance for wildlife. It would have too be significantly better than my D5300 for that purpose.

I'll hang on to my D800 for landscape until it breaks or till D810s get so cheap I can't resist.

Can be if you want a real large or fast one. I found a 32GB for about $50. I'd only need one.

I see one on the link above also.

the D500 still takes a SD card right? If you can hold out, the price of the QXD cards will come down.

Quick and dirty? Certainly more testing will come. Could lead to questioning the D500 as well...
