President Barack Obama slammed Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas) on Wednesday for the p**********l hopeful’s statements that he would empower law enforcement to “patrol and secure Muslim neighborhoods“ in the wake of the deadly terror attacks in Brussels.

“I just left a country that engages in that kind of neighborhood surveillance, which, by the way, the father of Sen. Cruz escaped for America, the land of the free,” Obama said during a press conference in Argentina, referring to his historic trip to Cuba earlier this week.

He said the proposal “makes absolutely no sense” and goes against basic American values.

The Republican p**********l candidate, a Cuban-American, has been deeply critical of Obama’s strategy to destroy the so-called Islamic State. He said Tuesday’s attacks in Brussels were more evidence that Obama needs to address the root of the problem.

“It is way past time we have a president who will acknowledge this evil and will call it by its name and use the full force and fury to defeat ISIS,” Cruz said in a press conference on Tuesday. “Until they are defeated, these attacks will continue. Their target is each and every one of us.”

“We need a president who sets aside political correctness,” Cruz insisted. “We don’t need another lecture about Islamophobia.”

Cruz’s comments drew fire from Muslim advocacy groups, Democrats, the police commissioner of New York City and even one of his rivals for the GOP nomination, Ohio Gov. John Kasich.

Obama also criticized proposals to bomb ISIS positions in Syria and Iraq indiscriminately. Cruz has called for “carpet bombing” terrorists, a strategy that would endanger civilians.

“We don’t go and blow something up just so we can say that we blew something up. That’s not a military strategy,” Obama said.

Ever wonder why almost every case of terrorism somehow is related to Muslims? No wonder people are suspicious. I know there are some good Muslims but I understand why many people feel the way they do.

Obama's a dipstick as are you, he is still looking for a strategy, in a war he has been fighting for 7 years now, his words not mine. There is nothing wrong with surveilling mosques or other communities if you think that there is criminal conspiracy or other illegal activity occurring there. It has been a part of this country's policing activity for...... oh I don't know, forever!!!! Only liberals would be so stupid as to think that somehow muslims get some sort of pass....

Liberals and Obama are losing the war, it is as if you are denying there even is a war, and make no mistake, the enemy knows there is a war and they are building their arsenals and capabilities to fully wage it... Obama has given them Lybia, Syria, Iraq, and will soon hand them Afghanistan as well....

You people are so foolish that as a collective you present a clear and present danger to our country.

Hello Dumbass, I could offer my thoughts but I am not president of the United States, his generals have offered several plans that should have adequately dealt with the problem but our president seems to have shot them all down, even his security council cabinet level members have been critical of this president's aimless inaction.....

Not so much what I said is true....Hagal, Gates, Morrell, and Panetta, have all been highly critical of president Obama as well have generals as they retired.

Now my run of the mouth is always, and I do mean always much more substantive than your usual run of the ass.

I just wanted to add before leaving that I guess that it is your contention that after 7 years of warring agains ISIS that the American military is incapable of defeating them.... Such Bulls**t, the pussy president is just that, a pussy, I see that Greyfool has started another thread about drone strikes, bug f'ing deal, the pussy president needs to treat this war for what it is a war, he needs to get off his fairy ass and put the assets in place to win this war in weeks, not months or years, yet he will leave office after 8 years having only fought a losing battle.

Hey Dopey- You don't think the man is already surveilling mosques and Muslims that give the man a reason to surveil?
