I am aware of the 1.5 effective magnification and was interested in the focusing distance and the advantages of a 150, 180, 200 macro lens.
Thank all of you for your advice.!!

As another poster said…see Nikonian's post.

In analyzing the utility of those focal lengths, a much more useful number is the minimum working distance. A factor not to be ignored is how you intend to use the lens: static, desk-top subjects? or flying critters in their natural environment.

Well…sometimes. There's a great deal of misinformation on the internet…including utube….

That's true, but if you watch more than one you can usually figure out the good from the bad. In my experience so far most of videos are good, though some explain things a little better. The key here is to watch more than one or two of them on the subject in question.

The rest of them except for the one confirming the right answer were sent to confuse the hell out of you.
As a macro-photographer, you should know that Minimum Working Distance is more important than Minimum Focusing Distance.
You are providing a dis-service by dismissing all answer but the non-explanatory "Yes".

Actually the magnification is the same as well as the minimum focusing distance. The only thing that is different is the "field of view" compared to a full frame camera. That will be 1.5 times less on your crop sensor camera.

True but unless you view or print it at 1.5 less, which is highly unlikely, there will be magnification that's why there is the equivalency factor.

I advise that you try to get your answers via a computer search on youtube and other sites. The reason is, the first answer you got was the correct one. The rest of them except for the one confirming the right answer were sent to confuse the hell out of you. This happens way to much on this site. Use youtube as much as you can. The videos answer your question and you can see the answer as well.

Although my simplistic answer to the question as asked needed no further explanation, the additional information on focus- and working-distances has undoubtedly been helpful to many readers.
