New here and looking for advice

Hello, my name is Jayna and I'm new around here. I love taking pictures. I carry a camera everywhere I go and I'm not afraid to use it.
Each year I get a new camera in hopes of finding the one I truly love. So far they've just been various canons. My latest is a canon powershot sx130is but like the ones before it, I find things about it that I don't care for; not the results I'm hoping for. So, I've been saving up for yet another purchase.
I had been considering getting a rebel but I happened upon information about the new nikons (1 J1 & V1) being released next month and I'm torn. They both sound really good but I'm not sure which way to go; a new nikon or the rebel. I'd like to think I know a thing or two about photography, but when it comes to cameras I'm not so sure.
Does anyone have any advice on what would be a good fit for me? I have 5 sons (from 3 to 13) so there is always something to take pictures of.
I'm looking for something incredibly fast to bring even the fastest movements to a standstill without the disappointing blur that often accompanies many of my photos. I also like recording movies and the fact that the J1 and V1 can simultaneously take hi res photos while recording HD video is a big selling point for me.
I like taking pictures of everything; but besides the sky, people and animals I like to try to photograph very small things. But I'm wanting something that will capture all those minute details that you can't see with the naked eye. I also need something that works well in low light as well as bright sunny days.
I'm sorry. I'm jabbering on. I could go on forever but I think I'll leave it there for the moment. Anyone have any suggestions to point me in the right direction?

Check out the new Sony NEX-7 or Casio has some fine point & shoots with minimal shutter lag.

Stevesdigicams.com has an exhaustive review of cameras as well as DPreview.com.

Have fun,

Eric
