How can I print 11x14 on a Canon Pixma Pro-1?

I have a Canon Pixma Pro-1 printer and was trying to print 11" x 14" photos. That size isn't one of the selections on the list. I tried A3 because that was the closest I could get. I got a message saying the paper was too wide or something like that.

Is there a way I can create a custom setting so I can use 11" x 14" paper?

From Red River Paper:
"Canon printers do not have the ability to print borderless 11x14. That size is not standard from the factory, which requires us to create a custom 11x14 for most print jobs. However, you cannot print custom sizes without borders! What are you to do? "

The proposed result appears to be an 11x14-inch image with three white borders on larger paper.
Is 13x19-inch paper used for this process, and then trimmed to finished 11x14-inch borderless?

No. I've seen this before. You're printing an 11x14 image onto 11x14-inch paper. By telling the printer it is using 14x17-inch paper, you trick the printer into thinking it's leaving a white border on three sides.

I have not tried this, but it seems that if you do this then the smaller paper will be aligned with the edge of the printer guide and it will throw it off and ink will be going where it shouldn't go.

Brilliant!
I suspect that using this method with 13x19-inch paper will also work, but will require trimming-off three white borders.

I'll try this. I do have 11x14 photo paper that I can use, but also want to print on Hahnemuhle matte fine art paper which measures 13x19. I'll cut it down to 11x14.

I can print on 11x14 paper on my Epson 4-in-one, but that only has 4 cartridges and I prefer to print photos on the Pro-1 because it has 12 cartridges and I get a better picture.

11x14 is a very common print size. Don't understand why Canon printers wouldn't accept that size. It's better than 13x19. Hard to find frames that size. No problem finding 11x14 frames.

I have no problem trimming 13x19 paper. I was trying to print on Hahnemuhle 13x19 matte fine art paper because I wanted the texture.
