Someone should show up and say they are a gay Trump supporter. Or a Muslim Trump supporter, or a black Trump supporter, or a t*********r Trump supporter, or a native American Trump supporter, or better yet, a millennial Bernie supporter and if they don't give them a rent free apartment they will burn his house down!

Being a Trump supporter is not a protected class under the law so what he wants to do is completely legal.
However, I never recall being asked by anyone who I would v**e for before they gave me a lease so it is a bit strange.
I imagine he just wants to make a point. A silly point but hey that's what this site is pretty much all about.

Obviously there would be no way to know if a prospective tenant is a Trump supporter unless they were wearing a Trump button or claimed that they are a Trump supporter, so this is obviously just a rhetorical point the landlord is making and wouldn't likely result in any discrimination in the real world. It's therefore a non-issue. but it is amusing that it got some folks' underwear in a bunch.

OK then. I no longer will rent to supporters of Barrack Obama! Thanks! And I thought I might get sued for discrimination. So if I do get sued and lose, can I counter sue all you folks that are saying I am not being discriminatory?
