2016 Run to the Sun Car Show

Over 3,000 cars/trucks participate in this Myrtle Beach, SC event each and every year, hosted by the Pee Dee Street Rodders, raising money for the Children's Miracle Network and the National Multiple Sclerosis Society. Last year's event raised $98,000 for these two charities. I'll post about ten photos a day until I get through the photos. Didn't attempt to capture them all as this would be an impossible task anyway. Very hard to get clear shots of the vehicles because of all the people - ha. Just used the Canon T5i with standard auto settings and lens - had to be quick because of all the people - was very thankful for a beautiful sunny day on Fri. One more thing; I forgot I had the camera set on high resolution for quite a few images, so taking a while to upload and consequently probably for you to view too, my apologies. Last, this is pollen season down here with yellow green pollen covering the vehicles continuously and owners were constantly cleaning it off their vehicles.

I don't think this 67 GT500 was the real McCoy, but it DID have a 427 side oiler in it

I admit I am losing some brain power, I wonder if the old silver/gray wagon with the Cummins turbo diesel is an old Willys station wagon? More pix of this one would be cool! Back when I dorve a treuck for a living, I missed a bypass and drove thru the middle of this car festival. It was so cool being surrounded by so many of these great cars and I want to return sometime or other and try my hand of taking all the shots I can. Such a great set of pix, I look forward to the rest of these, thanks for posting Sammywoody.

I enjoyed this set very much Sammy, and I have to compliment you on your careful framing of each car. No fenders, wheels, or mirrors cut off! :-D Wonderful Job!
