Yes, the thumbnail does not do it justice at all.

Big difference in the download and the composition is perfect and does have impact. Nice shot.

Beautiful on the download especially. I love how the golden hues in the foreground repeat on the mountain slope in the background and on the small island out in the sea. Very nicely done.

Thank you. Can you tell me what it is that earns it 3 thumbs up :D since this is the critique section. Is there anything you would change about it?

Thank you Joe. I love the colors also. It is a beautiful place. It is for sure the the land of Islands. Norway has over 50,000 islands.

Sorry, I keep missing that.
I first thought to move the "Gibraltar" rock closer to the lower right third point, but I like the little snow in the bottom right, which would disappear. The snow spots seem to help balance it. Moving it up would loose the clouds. The color density and depth are great.

WOW, I've never seen one with THAT much difference! Sure glad I hit the DL.

This is a very nice - and interesting - image. I really like the sky. And I like how the hill on the right climbs into it. The shoals are nicely done. I thought the grasses in the foreground were a bother, but they're not. My only minute niggle is that I'd like to see the bottoms of those grasses. Your DOF is wonderful.

This is beautiful Judy. You've got really nice soft light. Love the little strip of sand on the beach leading the eye into the scene. I like the grass too .. very much .. except that one stray strand to the right. You've exposed beautifully for the beach in shadow to the bright snow on the mountain top. The shutter speed is perfect for catching those crashing waves. There is so much going on in this scene and it all comes together quite nicely.

It looks like the thumbnails don't do Norway's subtle light any favours. Some might have been tempted to suggest that you were generous with the PP, but I suspect that it didn't need much manipulation or boosting.

It is amazing how much difference there is between the thumbnail and the downloaded image. The colors just come out so much better in the full image.

Great composition and colors. I love the differences in colors and scene elements between the foreground, the background, and the sky.

If I was to change anything, it would be to crop some from the right. The pointy mountain seems to be in that space between center and the third that makes it a little bit awkward. This moves the pointy mountain to the right third and I think makes it better balanced. Also, I don't think much is lost on the right side.

Thank you for your critique. I agree losing the snow at the bottom would take away from the image.

I will have to go back and look. I might have a version with the bottom of the grasses.

Thank you Sandra. I thought about removing that little grass, but then where to stop so I left it. :)
I have many where I missed the waves. It took a few tries to get it just right and then you had to wait for the right wave. The crashing waves was one of my favorite part of Norway's beaches.
