I just noted this in a Nikon Web site on the Nikon D 90, and am a little confused with what I read.
http://nikonrumors.com/category/nikon-d90/Are they saying the Nikon D 90 had a problem and they have a part to correct this, besides saying it is discontinued? So suggestions appreciated on my choices. New camera is not one of them, money is tight! Thank you.
It's just talking about the firmware update for the camera. I don't recall the link to download it but it's searchable on the Nikon site and freely available to a registered Nikon owner.

Here's the link:
http://support.nikonusa.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/17162It allows the D90 to correct some Nikon lens distortion inside the camera rather than in PP.
for years, the D90 has been considered the work horse of the Nikon APS-C stable. As is to be expected (eventually) of every camera model, the D90 is no longer manufactured, but will be supported by Nikon for many years to come.
The D90 is officially discontinued in that it is no longer actively produced. There is still quite a bit of new inventory available for sale as retail sales dropped off drastically when the D7000 was released and D90 production continued for a few months.
There is no problems with them and no "part" to repair anything, simply a firmware upgrade that is available.
Thank you: Kwgagel, Nikonesian, Nikonian 72 and MT Shooter for the informative response.... I so appreciate it.
You're very welcome. I enjoy my D90 and you will too.
