Took some photos of a tree that is 500 years old...How do I get this tree in one shot? I had to take several photos because it's so huge!
At the risk of starting another big brew-ha-ha you need to shoot carefully and stitch the photo together.

No shakyshutter, lol! That's just it.....need a fire engines ladder to get the top and work my way down and then out! lol!
Stitching is your best bet. I don't remember which software you are using but you may need to use some "perspective" correction as well. This is available in Photoshop starting about CS4. Othewise Photoshop does stitching pretty well but most hard core stitchers use PTGUI at a minimum, there may be others.
