Costco Photo Center....
Awhile back on here a discussion about Costco shutting down some of its Photo Centers. I know the one at my store is still open, has anyone had one by them close up shop??? And it doesn't look to be closing anytime soon.
Just curious
One closed by me. They still take orders and process pictures, but in a different store. It takes about a week for delivery to that store. The other store works the way it did, just a bit farther to get same day service
I cannot justify the 50 dollar a year and 54 mile round trip.

What is the $50 a year for? My membership fee is more than that but I shop there regularly anyway. My photos come out very good. Just make sure you specify not to auto correct.

My wife and I have the Executive membership and generally receive a rebate every year of around $200...

Costco in Durham NC still open I do not know if the. The new Cary opening has developing

Mine is open too, with no indication of closing in the future. I suspect they closed the ones that were not producing sufficient revenue for the required square footage. It is a large area. Just my intuition.

OOPS!!!!!Closed in McAllen Tx.
They were going to close the one in Enfield CT, but the members yelled and screamed and they decided to keep it open. Sam's Club closed their photo centers and could care less what the members said.
An aside - (not for photocenter)
Costco has approximately 82,000,000 members. At $65 per year, they have a
clear profit of 5+ billion dollars from membership fees. If each members spends $100 per month and their profit margin on sales is a mere 1%, they
clear approximately 1 billion. That's 6+ billion per year of clear and guaranteed profit. They'll be around for a while.

I might add that in the McAllen store, they hired part time techs who knew very little about their machines and could care less. Things were always breaking down and they just could not give good service with all the problems. Perhaps it was good that they closed.

Seems the issue was just mainly in the South-East around Atlanta and Miami. No closures in California or other Western States.
Per my guy at the Warrington PA store. NO photo centers are closing! To much negative (get it?) feedback from customers.
