Although I no longer go big game hunting, I thought that some of our fellow whitetail hunters may enjoy this snapshot I'd taken of my buck that hangs directly above my computer monitor here in our den. Of course, when this buck was taken, I was younger, but today, I no longer wish to kill animals of any kind. We do mellow when we age !

Doug, what did you shoot him with a 200mm or was it a long shot requiring a 500mm? Did you score it with Boone and Crockett? I don't hunt any more with a rifle either. We were all young once. All and all it looks like two good shots, then and now.

I have to agree with you. Many, many years ago, took aim at an 8 pointer and asked myself that one question , why. And I had no answer to why.
