I've been seeing this beauty around for the past few months. This is a White morph Reddish Egret. Really a gorgeous bird!!

With a little pompano.

Great shots Tracey, nice to see you, hope all is well. Not a good year for birds in the glades. Hope you are having better luck in Ft. Myers. First morph I have seen, cool

Hi Gregory!! I was just looking at your beautiful Snowy shots. I think the bird population is down all over the state. Very sad to see. I was thrilled to see this guy, he's quite the looker. I've missed you guys so I will try and check in and post more often!

Tracy, I watch a all white heron slowly change into a adult Little Blue. It stayed 1/2 white and blue for a long time before turning all blue. I would show a pic but the little blue/white never let me get close enough to get a photo.

Yes, they do that. But this is not a little blue heron, this is an adult Reddish Egret, but it is a white morph.

You may have a one of kind bird in your area.

Not quite one of a kind, but it is rare.
