just got elements 10. i knew there was a learning curve, but wow. can any one point me in the right direction to learn how to use this software. i got the manual downloaded, but its very hard to understand, it assumes you know something about what your doing, which i dont. one thing im trying to do is take things out of pictures, like power lines, signs, ect. any help is greatly appreciated, as i dont have a clue what im doing.... thanks.

AFTER you've read the manual, get the books for dummies or idiots. They tend to be better about logical organization of tasks.

There are many sites that will have info for you on this. For starters try www.youtube.com and do a search for "Elements 10". You'll be surprised at how much help you'll get there.

I was the same way having a complicated program I couldn't fathom. Log onto ed2go.com/Cobleskill/ has an online course devoted to Elements 10. It's a hundred bucks but it's the best hundred you'll ever spend.

Open the "Help" drop down on the menu bar. There are several options to choose from.

I subscribe to Adobe Photoshop Elements Techniques. New magazine every 2 months. They also have a DVD that came with my subscription called "learn Photoshop Elements Today". Plus here is that in the DVD it goes into the toolbox in a big way, plus layers and some enhancing your pictures. Think my subscription was around $70. Go to your library or the book store and you will find lots on Elements. Final suggestion, search the webb. I really enjoy Elements and try to keep up with the latest version.

Another option in addition to those above. I like the Elements 10 book by Scott Kelby and Matt Kloskowski. Available from Amazon.

On this website, click onto the FAQ section, there is a beginners guide to Elements 10 that I found to be very helpful, I just took a look at it myself yesterday.

I highly recommend the book, "Photoshop Elements 10, the missing manual" by Barbara Brundage. It has been a great help to me. I think I got it from amazon.com. Also there are many youtube videos on different parts of PSE10. No doubt a serious learning curve.

the missing manual Elements 10 Kelby and kloskoski only by them. absolutely the best. HAVE TO HAVE IT, THEN, one step at a time, Excellent index in manual, take it one step at a time. If you expect to learn it all overnite, you picked wrong hobby. If you expected to learn, and make money overnite, you definitely picked wrong occupation. Your better off going to medical school. Good luck
