I don't know whether this is a fake or not, but from this side of the pond it reinforces everything we have heard about America's litigatious society.

So is this real or not?

Yes likely it is. It looks very typical of the warnings that are included with prescription and even non-prescription drugs here in the states. Sometimes it's not on the bottle directly but under the label is a pull out card or sheet, with all the dire warnings in tiny print.

Shakespeare was correct.

Yes, this is real. We have more lawyers then rest of the world altogether. They try anything to litigate whatever they can construct into a case. They are worth then sharks. You should se how many stupid warning labels are on a plain stepladder.

Yes, it's for protection for both consumer and manufacturer.
Avoid lawsuit from people who doesn't have common sense or basic general knowledge of life.
Law suit here is so often happening.

"To-go" coffee cups all carry the warning that the contents may be hot, why wouldn't this be real?? Some of the warnings on things these days defies belief!!!

The best ones I know of were on a chain saw:
Do not attempt to stop moving chain with your hands.
Do not put against groin.

I found that picture on a site associated with 'funny' images.
I wasn't sure if it could really be true, but judging by some of the stories we have heard about 'strange' warnings on American items, I was more than willing to believe it.
Looks like I was sadly right.

Remember, it got there because the company lawyers found a court case where someone sued because they had actually done that and thought someone should have warned them not to.

I think a simple one liner should be all that is needed and the laws should be changed to enforce it.

"Your stupidity is not legal grounds for a law suit."

Maybe not, but the annoying truth is - anyone can sue anyone at any time for anything. There are attorneys that will take any case because most cases get out of court settelements

I'm starting to understand the fictional stories about the 'year they hung the lawyers'.
Maybe America would be better off without them?
