If you haven't already done so, look at K E H web site. They frequently have this lens, the case may be a snag. Good luck hunting, these guys get lots of oldies in the FD mount.

I have a 600 FD with extenders and case that I have been thinking about selling. I know you said 400 but if you could use a like new 600 I have one.

I forgot to mention I also have the adapter that allows you to put it on a EOS mount.

I think I have 2 1.4 extender a 2x and a 3x extender the Ed Mika solid brass adapter with the chip that you can program so you can use it on other FD Lens it will tell the camera what aperture the lens is.
Now he makes one that cost far less but it is some kind of nylon or plastic not Brass.
This adapter allows the lens to focus to infinity with NO glass the cheap ones with the glass suffers from poor image quality this one has no glass.
Some lens will not focus to infinity without internal modifications but some will focus it depends on how the stop was set at the factory. My lens will focus beyond infinity no modifications needed.

The Lens is a rare model some were built with a super coating they are marked with SSC on them this is a SSC lens.
I have seen the case alone sell for $350.00 on eBay my case looks nearly new.

All the glass is mint lens body has no scratches or paint missing.
If you want it all I will sell for $1595.00 this very rare lens should bring more than that I know I paid much more than that.
Only reason I'm considering selling is I bought a new canon 600mm f4 auto focus lens it is better for birds in flight.

Depends on what you want to shoot.

I shoot eagles I always used a TC on this lens and on my new 600 hard to get too long when shooting wildlife.
