Can I upgrade Photoshop Elements 8 to Photoshop Elements 10 or do I just need to buy the new software?

Photoshop Elements 10 is a winner all the way! November 25, 2011

I have upgraded my Elements every time a new version came out right up through Elements 8. I did not opt for Elements 9 since I did not think it had enough new features to interest me, but when v. 10 came out I decided to give the upgrade a go. It installed quickly and easily without any problems. My massive catalog of 23,000 pictures imbedded just fine and everything was an immediate go, including plug-ins. I have been too busy with some calendar projects to explore all the new features, but everything I normally use has worked fine or has been enhanced. Over the years, I have edited and cataloged (tagged) every one of my 23,000 pictures and use over 600 of them in the different calendars I make up for my family and friends. Without the catalog of edited and tagged photos, it would be an impossible task. If you have digital pictures, you NEED to edit and tag them all for easy reference; and Elements sure handles the job beautifully! I heartily recommend Photoshop Elements for all your digital photo work.
