I got out for a couple hours and got a baby barred owl, and a night heron in flight, and a limpkin fight. I added one the little pigs, oh I don't know why.
Nice shots, especially the bird in flight. Interesting shot of the porker also. That boy looks mean.
You had a most rewarding "couple of hours."
Thanks for sharing your diverse finds.

That's a night crown heron and I also got a juvenile one too.

I'm so spoiled I see a ton of stuff daily. We are all sad today a Florida Panther was hit by a car and killed. 1st one in the county in years. I go out most everyday and have never seen one so it's going to be a while for that one.

Thank you Doddy, I'm going out bugging tomorrow, hope the weather holds out. March here is unpredictable at best. Thanks for looking in at them.
So lucky you wandered by the little owlets. Thanks for sharing.

Good series TF.
Thanks ebbote, I just got the d7100 too, about 3 months ago and I really like it. I was out shooting with it again today. It has so many features that I don't know about yet and I fall asleep every time I try to read the manual. I'll get it though.

That is indeed sad.
The Florida Panther is an endangered species.
I use to see a few of these shy but graceful cats in the wild back in the 1970's, but between habitat destruction by developers, highways, and a few renegade hunters, their numbers have really plummeted.
About the only place you can see one in the wild is from a well placed and very patient game camera in a remote area.

I sure do, I'm going over to gator land later this week and they have a huge bird population so I'm hoping for some good shots
