May I ask why you're selling it? Do you have the original receipt for it, despite any warranties having since lapsed? Was it taken to a repair shop at any time? If so, for what reason?

I purchased it 3 years ago, so it is beyond warranty now. I LOVE this camera but am thinking I will go mirrorless all the way since I purchased a Sony a6000 for hiking and biking and love how light it is. I still have the receipt, but as I indicated, it is beyond the warranty. It has never been sent in for repair and has never been damaged.

Dear Ann,

Give me a few minutes to get back here. I have an idea that might very well work out and alleviate our mutual suspicions. It involves using a 3rd party on the Hog to act as an independent inspector of sorts. By definition, he or she would have to own one functional Sony A-mount compatible autofocus lens for testing. The downside is that we'd have to share the costs of his/her consulting fee and shipping the camera twice.

P.S. It's ironic, by the way, that my 60 yo brother and his wife are out in Portland, OR (from their Maryland home) on vacation either right now or have just left for FL. He's a lawyer, but unfortunately doesn't have much of a technical "bone in his body." He's not into Photography.

A little more background, besides what you can readily look up under my profile at the Hog. I'm a 55 you retired (& disabled) Diagnostic Radiologist living out his last year in Louisiana, my adopted state since 1993, who will be moving back to my native Boston (actually Brookline, a contiguous suburb,) by the end of this year, since my son will have matriculated at some school (Harvard, Stanford, Vanderbilt, Columbia, Duke, or UPenn,) by then. I realize I still have yet to post some photo as my avatar on the Hog, which I joined late last August.
