I sent my 750 to NY on Monday, I have not received notification tha it was received. Does Nikon make that notification or do they notify when it ships back

Thanks in advance

You could get the receiving notification right before they return it. That doesn't seem to be a priority with them. I sent mine last Wed, and UPS said they received it the next day. I still haven't heard from Nikon.

I do know about NY but I receive both by E-mail and slow mail that the camera was received here in CA

I just went through this exact sequence in the last few weeks. I tried to follow the status online and received it back before the status was upgraded.

I contacted Nikon and was told that they will email you when your camera is sent into the shop. Currently (yesterday) they were working on cameras arriving as of 2d March.

I received the same reply and sent back the work authorization and got my camera back with no other notifications. Quick service.

they notified me from L.A. when they received it, but did not let me know when they returned it. I received that notification from UPS.

I just got a notice from Nikon telling me that they received my camera, which UPS delivered to them the day after I mailed it (3/2). It was nice being able to confirm with UPS that it had been delivered. I wouldn't be surprised if I get by tomorrow.

I did, also. The email said one needn't do anything unless... and since this is a warranty repair, I have done nothing. I think that's the proper response.

I forgot to say that I went ahead and filled out the repair authorization form (see Nikon email included link) and it bounced right back to me unopened. So, again, it seems no response is the right response.

Right. Just wait a few days. I went through this with the D600 recall. One was very fast, but the other took about two weeks because they ran out of parts.

you only need to sign if there is a charge, no charge, no action is needed.
