Don't know if this is the right place for this, but was told by another hogger to post my questions as a new topic.

I have the USB dock for the Sigma 150-600 Contemporary lens. I went online to the Sigma Website and followed the instructions as far as I understood them. How do I know whether the software has been downloaded to my lens?

Just hook it up again. The firmware will automatically be checked if you are connected to the internet.

But I'm not sure where the software went on my computer. When downloading it, it didn't ask me where I wanted it to go. An arrow just flashed briefly on the screen. I know it's on my computer somewhere, but not sure how to find it. I've checked programs, etc.

It should have automatically created an icon on your desktop. It will be a round black icon with "Sigma Optimization Pro" as the label. If it is not there you can find it under that name in your Windows Explorer file, then create that desktop icon to make it easy to find again.

Thanks for the information. It's on my home computer so I'll check it out when I get home.

Are you referring to the software for the dock, or the firmware? As MT stated an icon for the dock should be on the desktop. I don't think the one for the firmware stays on your computer.

I'm referring to software for the dock. Not aware of firmware. I'll check my desktop when I get home.

Thanks to everyone for the information.
