Stopped on a busy freeway (not a smart idea) to capture this hawk. It was a windy day and he was having a tough time keeping his footing. I shot several pictures while he was perched. Changed a couple of settings and by that time he flew off. Figures!

After I learned that I could be fined $150 for stopping on the shoulders of Washington State highways (unless vehicle breakdown), I decided there probably wasn't a photo I needed that badly :|

Great captures. Some of my best Red Tail captures are from the shoulder of Texas Farm to Market roads! :thumbup: :thumbup:
