A motorist's nightmare.
NO PARKING ANY TIME - STRICTLY ENFORCED
Wow, that's harsh enforcement.

Usually they only steal the tires around here!
Yikes .. just think if they did that to traffic violaters. Was this city abandoned, Richard? It feels like a ghost town. It must have been eerie going through it.
Thanks for your comments, Sandra! I appreciate your interest. That photo was taken in the bombed German city of Frankfurt about two years after the Nazis surrendered in World War II. I served in the U.S. Army Air Force as a writer and photographer in the Troop Information and Education Section, in the American Occupation Zone, so I did a lot of street photography there for three years. For the past two years I've been posting vignettes about the Military Occupation's history as General Chit-Chat (Non-Photography), which include photos by me and other military photographers. If you're interested enough, please click on my avatar, then click on my topics, and you'll see 40 or 50 posts which include the word "Occupation" in the title.
Another Frankfurt scene: the Annual Christmas Fair - December 1947
