I was given this to investigate last night. I can barely malKe out 2 words printed on it, Graflex and Desk. It has 4 feet so it must sit on a table. The base has an adjustable mirror. The middle has a ground glass about 8x10". The top has an inset on both sides, perhaps to display a finished sketch. The bottom of the top has 5 hoops for pencils?
Folds up to 12x11x4".
Movable mirror on bottom.
It is sitting on top of a Levy Process Camera

I have no idea, but it is neat looking. I'll wait on an answer with you.
Evidently from the link it is a negative retouching table.
Does anyone use them?

Interesting. Glad you found out what it is for. No I don't use it since I don't shoot film, but it would be great to find someone here who does.

spookey....looks like a proctologists office gone wild.
I shoot film. Medium format and 4x5. I am trying to repair a 8x10.
This thing will come in handy now that I know what is and what to use it for.
I am definitely keeping it.
The guy who keeps bring me his deceased fathers camera collection lets his wife make 'art' objects out of olf film devices.
I am guilty as well. I just hung an 8mm movie camera on a security camera perch to display it.

That's ok. I have a Kodak Duraflex(I think that's what it is I forget I haven't paid attention to it in awhile) with the flash hooked to it sitting on my desk. I have an 8mm Kodak movie camera with the light attached, that still works, on my tv cabinet and an 8mm projector sitting on the top of my bookshelf. I can use the projector and the light. I have even thought about converting the camera to use 35mm film because it is possible, but I don't want to get into it right now. So I guess I'm pretty much just as bad.
All it all a matter of how much time you have.
I really dislike Friday night. There is a party next door and they keep bugging me to come over, but I would rather putter about.
