Welcome to UHH. Like your lily, do you think you can get the whole flower next time? Thanks for sharing.
The picture is fine, although I must agree with Gidgette.
I would also suggest a background that doesn't quite match the flower's green.
Did you crop this photo? If so do it again to get the whole flower as was mentioned. Background shows a little noise which is surprising at ISO 200. Thats why I think it is a crop. If you have a noise removal program try running it to see what happens.
It is a bueatiful flower and shot.

Nice idea, would work well. I hope he can re-crop it so the tips are not cut off though.
Either way it is a very pleasing photo, very interesting. The color of the flower draws your eyes right to it as it should. The stems, not being the main subject do not bother me at all with that background.

Johnny,
DO you mind if I download this photo and try something with it?

Beautiful lily, and I like the slant rather than just straight up, but I have been taught by one of the best to never cut off petals nor even let them touch the edges unless you are going for a close-up of the center of the flower. Everything else works just great. I have had those in all my yards since I was a child and still look forward to them every year. Nice work, even with the tips cut off!!!

All in all, it is an excellent shot, very sharp. I like!

Thanks, I didn't want to shoot the whole flower, how ever I did shoot the whole flower, just like this one better. Thanks again!!!

I really like the crop in this actually... I know you're not supposed to.cut the tips, but I think it works well
Thank you, I didn't have much choice of background colors.
Thanks Jim D, it's not cropped, I normally shoot 100 ISO, my Sony is norm for a little noise 200 or more.
