You might want to keep the third one for a trophy having nailed the focus in a challenging shot.

The branches are distracting. The second has a clear shot of the female. It looks like there was some vertical camera motion though. Good try under adverse conditions.

yes the branches are very distracting but , every time I would try to get them to move to a better spot in the tree they would just fly off..... :) and if I moved from my spot then they were just plain gone

Your Exif shows you shooting with a 300mm lens and only 1/100th-1/125th Sec speed ....this goes against a basic precept, but if you are using VR lenses and know different then carry on. :XD:

The last one would be pretty nice if you are not averse to cloning out the twig in front of his face.

Shooting in adverse conditions is better practice than waiting for a perfect day. Keep it up.

I've tried some bird shots and I understand. You've done better than I have. :-)

In PhotoShop I dragged the "Spot Healing Brush Tool" along the length of the twig. PS did the rest.

ok that looks good Bill....bring up question....how does PS know what's behind what you removed ?? or is it just luck of the draw??

It uses the surrounding pixels to guess. If you move the brush it selects from either side. It isn't perfect, but in this case I did no additional editing.
