3-d mallow with extension tube

This flower is about 1/2 inch across. With a 12mm extension tube behind a 35mm lens on a D7100 the depth of field is so thin that the center of the flower is all that's in focus, giving a nice 3-d effect. The texture and varying reflectivity of the petals shows up nicely in the noonday sun in the download. This is the first of these flowers in our yard this year.
