Nikon D50 6.1 MP DSLR Camera with Sigma AF 400mm F5.6 Tele MC Prime Lens. In 2014, I started shooting birds with my Nikon D3100 with the kit 55-200mm lens. I soon found I needed more reach. I purchased the Sigma Auto Focus 400mm Prime lens at a good price. I realized the AF would not work on my D3100, but I wanted to try it. Even though the lens provided good results, the manual focus did not work for me. In February, 2015, I had the opportunity to pick-up a Nikon refurbished Nikon D50, which has an internal motor, so the auto-focus would work. They worked well together, the focus was smooth and fast and I got good results. I have attached some sample pictures. This combination would be great for someone with a limited budget who would like more reach. The camera has a16,500 shutter count and is in excellent condition. The lens has no dust or mold and AF works well. The lens hood is a little loose, but did not bother me. I recently upgraded to the Nikon D5300 and the Sigma 150-600 C telephoto zoom. So I really dont have a need for this set up anymore. UPDATED Asking $175.00 shipping included to 48 states. Includes all caps, 2 batteries, charger, 2-2g sd cards and Hoya skylight filter.
