Three weeks ago my Amazon account ( which i rarely used was hacked),
I suspect an inside job..do not know for sure.. Amazon was great in cancelling all the orders their support was outstanding to cancel these items . The hacker ordered a few cheap items first 11.00 then went for the big items 600 + ,
Thank goodness for Amazon sending out emails about my email neighbor changed and the emails for each order , I would have never caught it .
So hats off to Amazon ... The only problem is several orders were processed and shipped , then when they get shipped the hacker then changes the address they go to , through the vendor or ups. Very clever ..
I am still fighting with visa to get my money back from the items that went though, what a hassle, Amazon has this clowns email and new shipping address , we will see what happens, so far I am only out a few dollars .
My advise is change your passwords monthly on Amazon, be alert on any emails you receive from them ...

NEVER respond to emails or phone calls that claim to be from ANY organization. Never give them ANY info to "verify" yourself. If they were legit they have that info. Some hackers have become very good at pretending to be outfits like Amazon or eBay. Although some are evidently written by someone who's native language isn't English others are undetectable.

If you think there might be something legit contact them back yourself.
