I have been using bridge for a couple months now, but I can not figure out how to access different versions of the same shot. It indicates that there are some but for the life of me I can not figure out how to open all of them. Can someone please help me with this?

I'm not sure I understand. Do you mean you want to open more than one image at the same time in Bridge?

No. I worked on an image then saved it. Bridge indicates that the image has been worked on and there is more than one version of that image. I think I should be able to open the original and the worked on version. Maybe I am doing something wrong when I save it.

When you saved it, did you choose a location? If not, check the bottom of the folder that it came out of.

I know where I saved the image. But I thought that I could access both images from Bridge. Maybe I have to save them both to the same location? I was pretty sure that there was some way to get to both of them using bridge. But good chance I am confused.

I wished I could help. Not to sure how to use bridge. I had to use it in my last photo class, but just haven't practiced since then. Maybe google it? Or check youtube?

Let me work on this, tomorrow, and I'll try to get back to you. I need to work on this myself anyway.

Thanks in the meantime I will do the same.
I thought of another way to discribe what I am looking for.
When I edit a photo in raw the thumbnail in bridge indicates that edit.
How do I get back to the original photo? or how do I open the original? I always save my edits in an external hard drive. The thumbnail in bridge has a little icon in the upper right corner once it has been edited in raw. I am going to give my brain a rest and go to bed myself tonight. Thank you in advance.

I have always used Picasa to organize my images. Works well for me. It's considered 'non-destructive'. When I move a file to PS, it just sends a copy. The original is there and always will be. Hope this helps.
When you make an edit in bridge, it will be *saved* as that edit. But to get back to your original image, right click the image in bridge, and scroll to develop settings, and click on clear settings.
if you want to save the edits, then do a save as and either put it in another folder (i add a new folder and name it the same as the raw folder, but add jpegs at the end of the name) if you save it in the same folder, you will be able to open both the raw file and the edited version, as long as they have different name.
does this help?

Thank you that does help. So I don't need to make a duplicate before opening in raw. The original stays there.

As long as you use "save as" from the file menu ( Shift+Ctrl+S )
You now have 2 files, the original and the edited.
I too use Bridge. If you are having trouble "finding" your "saved" edits within Bridge open an image in Bridge (double click on the thumbnail) and go to the bottom of the screen and click on "Save Image" This will take you to a Preference Screen. Make sure that under the Destination Box the "Save in same folder" is clicked and Bridge will lay your edited Raw images side by side. You can save the image from this screen as well--still in Bridge.
(In Bridge I duplicate my Raw images by right clicking on the thumbnail if I think I want to do different versions of the same image- Bridge will lay down those duplicated images side by side)
I did not find a "Save As" command from the Bridge screen. However if you "Open Image" from the Bridge Screen it will open your image in PS and you can then use the "Save As" command and save your image to any format you want. If you have several versions with different image edits you can save it all side by side (in the same folder) by adding -1, -2, -3, etc to the original file number. (example- 01374-1.psd 01374-2.psd and so on)
I hope I haven't complicated things for you.

Thank you I think I understand. I will play with it a little and hopefully ingrain it into this thick brain.
