Rather cold, rainy with bits of ice pellets. This little leaf would not give up-blowing but hanging on. It is a bit flat. Would this be a good one for y'all to play with as far as "tone", etc.? Have at it. I was using Lensbaby so it isn't sharp intentionally. Sandy

Checking (Store Original) might be an idea.

I think you might be able to do it with "Add New Attachment", as long as you don't leave it too long. If you end up with two pics, go back and delete the un-downloadable image.

I like the ethereal glow! Strong composition. Eyecatching. Holds the attention. Restful.  I would not change a thing. I think it's perfect as is.

Thank you so much Chuck! Pleased that you enjoyed it. Will have to work on not getting "puffed up" after your comments. Sandy

Following your invitation to try experimenting with tone, I got the colours more the way I liked them, and the good thing about that is I could make them much richer, rather than just turning up the saturation of the original. The result is certainly richer, but it's debatable whether it's an improvement on the original.

I love it Sandy, and for all the items Chuck ticked!

I also really like R.G.'s warmer toned version.

I do like the rich tones as well. I usually lean that way. Like both really. Think I will work further on it. Maybe try lightening the leaf a tad in the original to bring out detail. How did you work the tone change if I might ask? Much to learn in that area. May I ask too, what is the best time to post. Like this one it went to new topic and them straight to back pages. Happens with others I post. I would like to share them-that is half the fun that others enjoy. Thank you for your work on this. S

Thank you Sandy. I tinted the darks red/orange and the highlights yellow/orange. There was some yellow/green in the background that wouldn't have saturated well so I tint-shifted it towards yellow and desaturated it. I also added a custom vignette with the Adjustments brush, putting the leaf and twigs roughly on a slightly brighter diagonal.

To state the obvious, the down side to posting when it's quiet is that there's less people to check out the post. I suspect that things are slightly quieter in the evening (US time), but I'm usually in bed by then (9 pm UK time through the week).

Not quite sure what you mean by "back pages". Things disappear quickly off of page 1 in the busy sections like the Gallery and the Main section, but quieter sections don't have that problem. Post in the Analysis section and it'll stay on page 1 for months lol.

Sandy, you've a really nice photo there. I'm sure some will try their hand at "making it better". I'd leave it the way it is.
