Those guys went through hell on those daylight bombing raids over Europe, thousands of planes and crews were lost and they deserve a lot of respect for their valor.

Looks like it was shot through the turret of one of the waist guns. A wonderful memory of an historic time.

Wizz, Thanks for the photo, my father in law flew the B-24 over Europe, through Italy, and was in the 451st bomb group! He passed away about 6 years ago, but I would love a copy of this photo for my wife!! Let me know if that is possible. Thanks.
