No I haven't. I believe its a public course anyone can play there but it's rather a long way for me.

Well, that is certainly true, but don't you think the panic is misplaced?
Those French truck drivers must be pretty soft stuff, compared to those in the US.

Perhaps. I saw a few videos where the i******s were climbing on the trucks, bending mirrors and throwing rocks at trucks. Some of the trucks are privately owned by the drivers $$$. I also saw a video where if an illegal was caught hiding under the truck in some way, the driver would get a fine $$$.
When you start taking money from someone who works hard for a living, perhaps, panic is a natural reaction.
