Nicely rendered, smartly composed and beautifully exposed. The 1/400 sec shutter speed you selected seems to be perfect for this, capturing the propelled clumps of snow in just the right manner to make this an effective and very enticing action shot.
Glad you liked the exposure, I've not much snow experience 2c4. He was very slow moving on almost no incline so much slower would have just been a blurry shot.

If you wanted to freeze the action you have done it perfectly, cannot fault it and the snow looks great.
You gave me immense grief young Frank over my action shots on water. If you want to show movement shutter speeds as low as 30th of a second are needed and panning. It aint easy fella as I found out with 100's of failed attempts.
The young man looks a little static with no movement in the frame but I can live with it.
I don't remember any grief, maybe a hard time to keep you motivated and advice with a couple of pics from the net as examples. By the way what ever happened with that series, did you meet your goal? I know it is not easy my friend. Without a steep hill and skier making sharp turns at 20mph it's hard to get a spray of snow. Try one on a hill with little incline, of a 4yr. old barely moving. Glad you liked the snow I did put effort into the look of it..
