I doubt she would have said that, then. :D

I met a local woman today, and she said she looked at my web site and like the pictures. "You must have a very good camera. The focus and the colors are very good. It must be a very nice camera." I agreed with her.
I've heard stories about that, but this is my first experience with that type of compliment. I should have said, "I'll forward your compliment to Nikon." :D
We always think what we 'should have said' after the fact.
VERY nice pictures on your website, Jerry.

I read an observation by a photographer somewhere that if someone commented "oh, your pictures are so sharp" then they haven't seen the photographs. It has been my perception that most of the time
When someone asks what kind of camera I use, they think the camera made the picture and the quality is an expression of the camera.
Lot of fun on this thread,Jerry, good one!
Your wife must have a great stove, Jerry.

Oh and I think I saw bigfoot, not once but twice, ( you need to get out and shoot the real one)

Get her to bake you some cookies and then tell her what a great oven she must have.

It's like you're quoting the first half of an old joke. Following what you said, you have dinner at her house, and you tell her the food was so good she must have a very nice stove!

Well, it works for me.
I had a Kodak Brownie Hawkeye many years ago. I wish I had not given it to a relative.

Back in the day, Jerry, when you submitted a print to a photo magazine, they usually asked you to identify your camera and lens, then print that info. I guess they wanted to stop answering letters and phone calls from readers asking for that data later.
So I was roaming around with the wife at estate sales this weekend, Came home with a beauty of a dinning room set. We had one of those HIGH-BOY sets. Very uncomfortable. I also got a Nikon Coolpix 4600 for $5. Something to throw in my bag. If the woman made that quote to me and the shot came out of my D800. I would picture the 4600 sitting on my monitor stand where I am staring at it right now and say........your right!!

LOL!! I've heard the same compliment. If I was eating dinner with them, I return the compliment by saying, "Your dinner is very good. You must have a very expensive stove."
