Take a kid fishing

Just taking snap shots of something pretty is fine, but sometimes I like to tell a story. I'm going to post 3 pictures I took yesterday.
A guy & his kid setting tip-ups on the swamp side.
And having some luck, that’s a small Northern Pike.
The kid knew I was watching with my camera, I talked to them earlier.

Great story. The look on the kid's face shows his excitement and joy. The kid will definitely be a fisherman for life. A great father and son moment captured for eternity. Mahalo for sharing.

And the best part, he let the kid bring it in all by himself, THEN showed him how "not to take a hook out of a Norther Pike" I noticed blood dripping off his fingers when they come to get warm.

You just knew you were going to send me looking, "Mahalo" is a Hawaiian word meaning thanks, gratitude, admiration, praise, esteem, regards, or respects. According to the Pukui and Elbert Hawaiian Dictionary.
Good job.

What a nice moment. There should be a lot more of father and sons bonding. Maybe the violence would be so much less in the world.
Good stuff.

Picture quality could have been a bit better but I'm not an ice person, I stayed on shore & zoomed in with my 300mm. I feel I captured the moment. Thanks for looking
