Has anyone used Lenstag. I was unable to find any useful reviews and am leery of free services. it sounds good, but I want to be sure before I dive into the service.

I have a list of my photography equipment listed on Lenstag.

I have received no alerts from them, but I also have not expected any ;)

I see they also have an app out now on ITUNES.

I have used Lenstag for a few years and have all my equipment listed as well. Haven't had anything missing or stolen so I can't answer about that.

I also use them, but have not needed their services thank God. I think that it is great to have another place to list all your equipment along with serial numbers incase you need help with stolen items.

I also use Lenstag.

Check out the following link to a story on Petapixel regarding a stolen item recovered because of Lenstag.

Hi!

My name is Trevor Sehrer and I'm the guy that made & runs Lenstag. Lenstag does actually have revenue now in the form of Lenstag Pro subscriptions which gets subscribers faster alerts, business document templates (that I paid a small fortune to get drafted) and knowledge that they're directly contributing to fixing camera & lens theft.

The service (gear/image tracking & alerts every so often) continues to be free but in order to keep Lenstag fighting to end theft (and not go bankrupt myself), I had to find a way to help cover my significant monthly losses & pay for the infrastructure to give Pro users instant alerts.

Anyhow, hope that helped and I'd love to have you join Lenstag. If you have any questions, feel free to reach out to me directly at trevor AT lenstag.com.

BTW, Lenstag users score enough recoveries that I can't even get articles about them anymore since it's so normal now. Here's the last one I was able to get:
