Hi All, I am a newbie here and just want a nice point and shoot Camera for doing e-bay. We have low lighting so something with a flash and at least 20-21 megapixels with a zoom lens. For my budget right now I am looking at a Canon Powershot SX410 IS Digital Camera. I'm wondering if the picture quality will be good enough. Maybe I should consider a different Camera? Any help would be appreciated. Thank You!

For a camera under $200, you made an excellent choice. That is a lot of camera for the money. Another good choice mentioned on this site is the Canon SX50, but it only has 12.1 megapixels. But excellent. Not under current production. Buy used.
If I understand what the mission is of your photo challenge, I recommend you consider a Canon SX50 Refurbished. It is a bridge camera offering many zoom and macro ranges but more important is the multi positions offered by the screen. You can watch for Canon Refubs and catch it at $149.99. You'll need to buy a memory card. Many available under $20.
Go to a Target and try their SX60. You'll see what I mean about the screen. Great tool for easier perspectives that are unique.
Thank you for your answers. I would like to go with a brand new Camera. MontanaTrace what do you think of the Canon SX410 IS. Can I use less than the 20 mega pixels different settings? The SX60 how many pixels is that. Do you guys know how that magnifier pops up on e-bay pics? Thanks, Barb

Any point and shoot in that price vicinity will be fine for ebay pictures.
PS: You don't even need 20 megapixels for this. FYI.
Thank you for you help. I appreciate knowing about the 20 megapixel as I must have been misinformed.
I agree with above. Don't get all caught up the "pixel" thing. I have a Canon SX50, and it takes great pictures, certainly more than good enough for eBay use.
Also, a good refurb Canon SX50 is one of the great buys in the camera world. I also have a Canon 5D Mk III, and a Canon 7D Mk II, so have a frame of reference for that little SX50. It is a great camera.

My friend priced a brand new Canon SX60 last week. Price is $450.00. He really wanted the SX50. No longer produced. The SX60 has 16 megapixels. Megapixels are not the total quality of the camera always. Lens quality and others are factored in too. Check DP Reviews on the Canon SX410 IS and see what they say. Nothing to lose. Good Luck.
Where could I get the SX50 refurbished?

Montana Trace said you may catch a refurbished SX50 for $149.99. Go to canon.com and search for refurbished section. Canon has some now. Hurry, these may go fast.

Barb, a refurbished camera IS a brand new camera.
If you could see a difference between a refurb and a new camera, then send it back and get another. ;-)
