Another bullish forecast for cloud adoption

Even if you don't trust the cloud, the companies that you do business with are moving their storage and computing there in droves. Note the major cloud providers trusted by industry (Microsoft, Amazon, Google, IBM...).

The funny thing is that when you cut through the p.r., the cloud is nothing but a fancy server farm and businesses have been doing it for decades.

Yep, the difference is that it's terrifying to hardware vendors because the Amazons and Googles of the world don't purchase storage, etc. from the traditional vendors, they build their own. They all see their business heading to the cloud.
