Strange happenings in the woods last night, just after I took this shot naked ladies came out and started dancing around the trees
Sometime later I awoke from my dream but the shot remained :D :D
Good series Photophile! Really like #3 & #4

We stopped at Brookside Reservation which is near the zoo for awhile.
Looks like a wonderful vacation! Beautiful things to see! And the scene outside the motel is fantastic.

We stayed in these little red fishing cabins they rent out from Sunday till the next Sat. The water and mountains out our front door and boats and ocean out the back door.

the sun came up around 9:30 and set around 2:30but there was usually beautiful light for and hour or more before and after. Our first morning we headed to the southern most tip of his area to watch the sun come up.

Amazing set
hoping not to post too many--but it was too beautiful a place not to share!
we stopped at a few different little fishing villiages--just kind of out in the middle of nowhere--but a long a fjord and sooo picturesque
I never exactly understood what a fjord was till someone explained that it is basically ocean water that channels inland and has no way back out--gorgeous no matter what
The sunrise colors seem to last all day, as the sun doesn't get very high, unless it clouded uyp too much to see them. We stopped at other scenic oplaces as we drove from one beach to another--I never expected that many beaches, but I guess when on islands you have beaches!
our guide wore and orange hat and coat, so we called him agent orange, and he stood out nicely when we wanted someone in a photo for perspective
a church we stopped by
We kept hoping for the auroras to make an appearance--some of them had apps on their phone to tell when they should be out and we ran outside a lot just to check. This night they suddeny appeared right out the front door for about 30 min. very hard to photograph when trying to focus in the dark on something you can't reallt see
many nights the phones said they were out, but when we checked it was too cloudy to see them
