Well kept farm house, 175 years old.

The house is part of a county park system, but never needed to be restored. It was well kept by the family and then passed on to the county. The joy of this is, you can explore and photograph the house, inside and out to your hearts content. The Knoop family farm/homestead is now Lost Creek park in Miami County, Troy Ohio.
Originally shot in color (which I liked better) later converted on a whim.

Well, it's like I said, I liked the color version better, but this seemed to fit. While I like B&W, this time of year, things like color and sunshine are things we all crave! Always good to hear from you, and always wish we could do it over coffee! :-D

Thanks Dave, it turned out well enough, that I decided to post it and see what others thought. I find that houses and buildings are a little like people, some just always look good regardless. This seems to be one of those!

The download of your photo shows its quality so well. This house looks like a house ready for the making of a spooky film.

Thank you Brenda, for the close look and the good words. I agree with your assessment of the B&W shot, it is interesting that in color, it has the exact opposite effect. It looks warm and inviting. The house emits a very warm inviting energy. I always have the feeling that I could move in! :D
