I'm looking for a travel tripod that fold down to less than 17" with a maximum height of AT LEAST 51" (would prefer 57 or more)

***Doesn't need to support more than a couple pounds...

Must be in fairly good used condition

Something similar to a Mefoto, Benro, Sirui or Giotto or an Oben

Willing to pay up to $100 including shipping... (if it's carbon fiber I might consider paying more)

I'm just looking for something to have in the back of the car for a "just in case" photo opportunity

If you've got a tripod gathering dust let me know...

You don't indicate how much weight you need to support. The recommended allowance is twice the weight you expect to mount on the tripod.

This is a link to a couple of Benro tripods that meet your requirements. I didn't see anything on the B&H website in the used dept. that came close.

Thank you for that info... I've been contemplating something similar to the Amazon tripod... It's the same size and max weight specs(I only need a couple pounds in my case) BUT this one is aluminum and the Amazon is carbon. Oh sorry, the D&S is one inch taller (again w/ ball head or w/out?)

I'm trying to determine if the max height of both is with or without the ball head since the ball head is included... Any ideas?

See what you think... I don't care much for the ball head I have a Giottos BH1001 that I use

Kinda weird though that the carbon fiber is the same weight. I have a Manfrotto 190cxpro4 that I love.. Can't imagine if it was aluminum how heavy it would be with the ball head...

All I can say....is try it. If you don't like it...return it. I like mine. Bare in mind, that is what it is intended to be. $ vs. weight, size, strength,...."I really like this little Tripod.

End of story! Thanks, Boone. 8-) 8-)
