Go to you local sporting good store and pick up a soft fishing tackle bag. You will find that some come with plastic boxed with partisans that you can put your batteries and flash accessories. And they normally have many pockets on the exterior for stuff.

I am using a Baby Boom Clamshell Duffle Bag ($25) for my camera bag. I put a micro fiber cloth in the wet wipe pocket. Walmart sells this brand. Before I got this bag I purchased a diaper bag from a local thrift shop.
This brand also make a messenger bag if you want something smaller ($18).
If these were sold with the word "camera" associated with them they would cost 2 to 3 times as much.
Think outside the box. Example: For bean bags go to Cabelas for shooting bean bags. I saw the same brand of bag on a photo site and it was over twice the price.

If it says it's for cameras, chances are it won't be cheap...even of lesser quality, for flashes and accessories, some sort of duffle bag, tool bag from Home Depot or Lowes, wrap the SL's with a piece of foam and a rubber band. Another plus, the cheaper the bag looks, IMO... lessens the chance it'll get stolen.

That's the problem with this country, we have too many partisans already!

Army Surplus....

I go nuts on the cheap, and varied array of bags in our local Army Surplus store. And they don't look like camera bags.

Also if waterproof is desired, the local store where Kayakers shop is invaluable for those roll top waterproof bags you see floating down the river below class 5 rapids.

OK, I have a deal but many will think it to expensive. It all in what you desire to buy. I have a Lowe Pro Computreker camera bag/case, backpack style larger and it will hold a computer and accessories as well. Might suit your needs.

I have listed it for $100 in the past. Originally $399. Excellent condition. For a Hog we can negotiate lower. I do want to get rid of it.

I second this. I have a couple of diaper bags from yard sales which I picked up for around 5.00 each. They have a good assortment of pockets and are usually padded which provides a measure of protection. One bag I have is black and the other one is camo.
