Recently a new revision of Lightroom was released. Since that time, it seems that Lightroom has become more unstable, at least on my computer. Is anyone else having the same problem?

Among other things, it lost my catalog. I had to restore from my latest backup.

Are you on Mac or PC? Are you on Lightroom 6.x or Lightroom CC 2015.x? Are you on release 0,1,2,3 or 4?

FWIW, I'm on a PC using the CC version and release 4. It has been stable.

Develop mode won't open when I click on it after importing photos. I have to close LR and restart it and then I can develop my photos. I now have every photo I had stored in LR in one massive folder. They're also in their original folders. When I import photos they go into the massive folder instead of he folders I choose or a new one I create.

On my computer (a PC), I work on an image, and first, it seems like it takes quite a bit longer to do anything. When I edit an image in NIK software, for instance , it takes a while to bring the software up, and sometimes when I finish in NIK, it won't come back to Lightroom. It syas Lightroom is not responding and I can't even keep the Lightroom page on screen to close it.

Your post suggest something is not working as you expect it should and your chosen folder structure is a problem. If you would like to get it sorted out, please start a topic with a title like "Need help with Lightroom folder and catalog structure" in the post processing section. You're likely to get plenty of help.

Here is a link to a good R and R guide for Lightroom.

I have been running the "latest" version of Lightroom and have found no issues that caused me any problems.

I am running the CC version 2015.4.

It might help if you post the version you are talking about. ;)
